Recycling will be picked up every other Thursday except for holidays which will be noted on the schedule and calendar.  Always set your cart curbside by 6am.  Recycling will be picked up curbside by the Occupational Training Center (OTC).  Their hotline number is 609-267-6889.

 

You must carefully follow the recycling guidelines.  You will need to try your cart collection for at least 2 full collections cycles; if one cart is not enough you may request an additional cart at 609-758-2522 x241 or email: clerk@northhanovertwp.com. 

 

CURBSIDE RECYCLING IS PROVIDED BY A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN YOUR TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE AND THE BURLINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS.   

All residents are required to recycle their household trash. Residents are NOT required to have an annual sticker to recycle.  

Some items not accepted can be taken directly to the County Landfill and discarded.  Visit the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex Website for more information.

Effective April 1, 2020.  Hermans Landscaping will no longer be accepting Brush, Leaves or Christmas Trees at their facility.  Residents are encouraged to bring Brush Disposal to North Hanover Township's Waste Facility during normal business hours.  Commerical Disposal will not be permitted.
Brush Disposal will not be accepted in Plastic Bags or Containers.  Flyer

Trash
It is anticipated that town-wide pick up will not be completed by the close of business June 14th.  Your recycling bins should remain curbside until the close of business June 15th

Burlington County Recycling will be servicing North Hanover, New Hanover, Joint Base and Wrightstown on Monday, June 14th.  You should place your recycling buckets curbside after 6pm on Sunday, June 13th.  The Countys Hotline is 609-267-6889 and the Solid Waste Department phone is 609-499-1001.  We will continue to update this website.  You may utilize the Township's drop off site located at 49 Meany Rd. to handle overflow.  A Waste Permit is NOT required to Recycle.  We apologize for the inconvenience and expect improvement over the next several weeks.

Batteries can cause fires at the recycling pln. 

This also includes the small batteries that come contained within musical greeting cards.
