Clerk Picariello noted the NJDOT is unable to provide the Municipal Aid grant.

RESOLUTION APPROVING 2017-2018 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL
LICENSES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH HANOVER, COUNTY OF BURLINGTON,
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
WHEREAS,
applications have heretofore been filed with the State of New Jersey, Division ofAlcoholic Beverage Control to renew Alcoholic Beverage Licenses; and
WHEREAS
, the Chief of Police has reviewed said applications and recommends renewalwithout reservation; and
WHEREAS,
the applications appear to be in proper form, municipal fees have been paid and aresubject to review and approval by the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,

RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE OPEN SPACE, FARMLAND,
HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND STEWARDSHIP FUNDING FOR NEW JERSEY
WHEREAS,
New Jersey’s population demands an ample water supply provided by adequate open space tosupport our quality of life; and
WHEREAS
, Open Space in the form of parkland, family farms, historic and cultural sites, recreationalareas and natural watershed areas is vital to our economy, planned growth, protection of property values, water
quality, and safety and urban, suburban and rural quality of life; and
WHEREAS
, Continued, plentiful and sustained funding is vital to a strategic Open Space program tobolster and enhance private, municipal, county, other state and federal Open Space funding programs; and
WHEREAS,
Provisions for stewardship to properly care for parks, preserved lands, and historic sites is animportant component of Open Space efforts; and
WHEREAS
, New Jersey’s Payment In Lieu of Taxes program (PILOT) should be restored to full fundingbecause it encourages municipalities to host state and non-profit preserved open space;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
that North Hanover Township, supports sustainable,continuing funding for Open Space in New Jersey; and
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER,

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND TOWNSHIP CLERK TO SIGN A
PROVINCELNE ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH PLUMSTED

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
by the Township Committee of theTownship of North Hanover that it does hereby authorize the Mayor and Township Clerk to
execute the Provinceline Road Maintenance Agreement with Plumsted Township.
BE IT FURHTER RESOLVED,
that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded tothe Township Engineer, North Hanover Township Public Works Contractor, North Hanover
Township’s Risk Management Consultant and the Township of Plumsted.

Tax Map Maintenance ProposalAttorney Roselli gave an overview of previous discussions. Deputy Mayor DeBaecke noted
Ordinance 2009-10. Committeeman Kocubinski also noted a revision to the Ordinance.
There was discussion regarding the revision and a general consensus to move forward with
the current updates.
TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE “COMMENTS”
Committeeman Kocubinski noted events were in the planning stages.
Committeeman O’Donnell discussed the fatal fire at Wagon Wheel. He acknowledged the Fire
Department and all emergency personnel for the hours spent on the scene.
Committeeman Doyle stated he also went to the scene of the fire. He noted all emergency
responders performed explenary. He noted the next FOP contract negotiation was scheduled for
June 22
nd.Deputy Mayor DeBaecke expressed sympathies for those involved in the Wagon Wheel fire. He
noted the Fall Clean-Up Day was scheduled for October 7
th. He stated there would be noElectronic Recycling this year.
Mayor DeLorenzo expressed appreciation to the Fire Department. He noted his sympathies for
those involved in the congressional shooting in Alexandra, Virginia. He gave an overview of his
participation in the Science Fair at Upper Elementary School and enjoyed his time there.

Mayor DeLorenzo opened the meeting to the public.
Wayne Voorhees stated a letter to the assisting Fire Companies would be appropriate. Mayor
DeLorenzo stated a letter would go out. Committeeman O’Donnell stated he would handle.
Mr. Tom Devine – inquired as to the availability to see the Resolutions before the meeting.
Clerk Picariello stated they are posted and she could make copies upon request.

AUTHORIZING A CLOSED SESSION MEETING
WHEREAS
, the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Chapter 231 and P.L. 2001, C.404, permits the exclusion of the public from a meeting in certain circumstances; and
WHEREAS
, the Township Committee of North Hanover Township wishes to go into aclosed Executive Session and is of the opinion that such circumstances presently exist which
should not be discussed in public, and
WHEREAS
. the Open Public Meetings Act pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 and N.J.S.A.10:4-12 permits the Township Committee to discuss certain matter(s) in private, and in this case
for the purpose of the Township Committee to discuss contract negotiations, litigation and
personnel matters in this regard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
by Township Committee of North HanoverTownship that it will go into an Executive Session for the purpose of the Township Committee to
discuss Professional Services Contract Matter, Contract Matters, Litigation and Personnel
matters.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
that the results of such discussion may be revealed atsuch time as the matter(s) are resolved and/or a contract(s) is signed and/or the negotiations are
formally settled. Interested parties may contact the Township Clerk anytime during normal
business hours for periodic updates as to the availability in this regard.
