CALL TO ORDER Township Clerk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

FLAG SALUTE: Township Clerk leads the salute to the flag


SUNSHINE STATEMENT: “The provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act have been met. Notice of this meeting has been transmitted by email to the Courier Times, Burlington County Times and The Trenton Times as well as given to those having requested same and posted on the Township bulletin board located in the foyer of the municipal building”.

Township Clerk called for Committeeman Elect Ronald DeBaecke to be sworn into office. Mr. Mark Roselli, Esquire administered the Oath of Office. Everyone extended a round of applause.

Mr. Roselli thanked the Township Committee for their trust.


PUBLIC COMMENT: Members of the public wishing to address the Township Committee must state their name and address for the record.



Mayor Forsyth opened the meeting to the public.



Mr. Paul Reuter – 8 Ivy Lane – Mr. Reuter discussed North Hanover being a Purple Heart community. He noted Senator Stanfield had proposed legislation making New Jersey a Purple Heart State. He noted there were on 4 States in the union with this designation. He also stated the vote would be in a few weeks.

JACOBSTOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY

Mayor Forsyth asked the JVFC members present to come forward to be sworn in. Attorney Roselli swore in the members. Everyone extended a round of applause. Mayor Forsyth thanked the members and wished them well.

TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE COMMENT

Committeeman Kocubinski thanked the Committee for the hard work and knows it will continue through 2023. He thanked Committeeman Doyle for his two years of services as Mayor. He expressed appreciation for the great staff of North Hanover including the Engineer and Attorney. He offered congratulations to Committeeman DeBaecke and Committeeman Doyle on their re-election. He also expressed appreciation for the Recreation Advisory Committee, JVFC, JLUB members and EMS services.



Committeeman Doyle noted he had great support from his colleagues and community. He noted the Committee works well together and enjoys being an example to Local, Federal and State governments for the Committee’s Bi-Partisan relationship. He noted sometimes decisions are tough but he always keeps in mind what is in the best interest of the Community. He noted most recently difficult decisions had to be made concerning EMS service. He thanked Deputy Mayor O’Donnell for all his hard work in pulling it together at a time when it was absolutely necessary. He noted the EMS program was started and successful. He offered appreciation for the Police, Fire and administrative staff. He thanked the Professionals for their hard work. He offered Mayor Forsyth best wishes.



Committeeman DeBaecke thanked the residents for his re-election and trust. He noted he enjoys working with this Committee. He thanked the volunteers, employees and professionals for their hard work.



Deputy Mayor O’Donnell wished everyone a Happy New Year and was looking forward to the up-coming year. He thanked the Volunteers and career EMS for their hard work and wanted to recognize that. He thanked the staff for the day to day operations.



Mayor Forsyth noted it was great working with this Township Committee. He thanked them for their trust and expressed appreciation for his family. He expressed appreciation for the Staff and volunteers for their hard work. He noted he was looking forward to 2023.
