Jacobstown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary
Our mission and goal
is to assist and support the Jacobstown Fire Company in
fulfilling their pledged support to the community, and to assist
the community of North Hanover. We carry out this goal with our
fundraising activities such as biannual Bingos, Easter and
Mothers Day flower sales, and 50-50 sales at the North Hanover
Country Fair & Car Show.
We use these funds to help
pay for many improvements and items at the firehouse, such as
the purchase of a thermal imager, rescue equipment,
defibrillators for the ambulances, fund the purchase of uniforms
for fire and EMS members. We also support activities in the
community such as a Halloween party at the firehouse, gifts from
Santa at the Township Tree Lighting ceremony, the annual
scholarship given to a North Hanover high school senior involved
in community activities, Memorial Day picnic, as well as items
for the fire house and support of the fire fighters when working
a call.
New members are always welcome. If you are interested, meetings are at 7 pm the first Thursday of every month at the Jacobstown Fire House. Auxiliary volunteers (male and female) are needed and welcome! You can contact the JVFC Auxiliary by email jvfcaux@jacobstownfire.org |
